Are you a new homeowner? If so, you might be ready to toss on some gardening gloves and get to work on your yard. Unfortunately, unless you know the tricks of the trade, you might expend a lot more energy than you need to. Here are two landscaping supplies that will make your life a lot easier, so that you can beautify your yard without breaking a sweat:
1: Herbicide and A Pump Sprayer
To rid your yard of those noxious weeds, you might find yourself carefully dissecting the ground, trying to remove every single portion of that long taproot. Unfortunately, if you leave behind any part of that old weed, it might grow back before you can get outside again. Fortunately, you can destroy weeds growing through your sidewalk, play area, or empty flowerbeds by applying a non-selective herbicide with a pump sprayer.
Non-selective herbicides, such as Glyphosate, will kill all types of plants—including grass—by inhibiting a plant enzyme pathway necessary for growth. This means that you can quickly and efficiently spray down entire fields of garbage plants in a few minutes, without having to worry about tracking down your garden spade. Keep in mind that although non-selective herbicides are incredibly useful, they can kill healthy, desirable plants if you aren't careful. Before you spray, take the time to mark flower bushes or hibernating veggie plants, so that you don't cause any collateral damage.
2: Weed Barrier
After you rid your flowerbeds of all of those annoying plants, you might be ready to sit back, relax, and enjoy your space. Unfortunately, unless you do something to keep those weeds from coming back, they can invade your gardening space again. To keep your yard looking clean and tidy, consider installing a weed barrier. These barriers are made from breathable, dark-colored mesh fabric that keeps weeds from being able to move upwards towards the sunlight. You can place weed barrier underneath landscaping rocks or decorative mulch, so that you can't even see it.
If you have already planted your garden but you want to add weed barrier, cut the fabric in small sheets. Working in sections, move the mulch or landscaping rocks, and then fit the fabric between rows of flowers. It might seem like a time-intensive process, but it could keep your yard looking perfect all summer long.

I have one area behind my home that is so swampy that I could not do anything with it. I figured that I would embrace the excessive moisture and find a way to incorporate it into the landscape design. I started working with a landscape professional to learn what plants would look great, absorb some of the water and require little to no maintenance throughout the year. He helped me find some great solutions for the problem and now, I don't look out my back window and see an ugly swamp, I see a serene environment that I love to call mine.
